We know from experience that if the new owner has a working knowledge of the vessel’s electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, delivery day will bring more joy and less jitters. The experience of sailing, anchoring and docking your new boat increases your confidence.
That’s why twice a year we invite new owners to participate in our program. Below is a preview of what is in store for you when you join us.
The day typically starts with a review of the boat’s systems. All learning is “hands on” and takes place aboard a new Privilège. There’s no classroom time at Privilege Academy and the focus is always on areas that most impact the long-term liveaboard sailor.
The mornings are spent learning about the boat itself and afternoons are spent on the water sailing, anchoring and docking practice. This is essentially the agenda for three very full days.
Our team at Nanny Cay have 15 years of hospitality experience and we are treated to lunches that far exceeded our expectations. This is the British Virgin Islands, so as soon as we finish our desserts we cast off our lines and head for some great sailing.
Want to know more about the technical aspects of the Privilege 500/510? Download the manual for more information about the onboard systems including plumbing, propulsion, electrical and so much more. This thorough document is your preview on some of the topics discussed at Privilege Academy.
Twice a year Privilege Catamarans America holds the Privilege Academy program, bringing new owners together to learn about the on-board systems and boat handling. Watch highlights from our four-day program and tour the Privilège 500 catamaran with Rob Poirier.
